Raasha blushed. Sweet. She was sweet. Of course that thought quickly vanished with the odd reply. Can handle it? But technically never flown? It didn't exactly inspire confidence, but on the other hand she didn't want to crush his dreams. Somehow she had a very awkward feeling about how flying was going to go. It- She just swallowed any words and tried to move on, which was fortunate as Bekk was already doing likewise, though in his case touching on the other elephant in the room. Namely, where in the universe were they going to get a ship?
The two options didn't resound well with her. Really cheap, in her experience, meant 'didn't work.' And stealing... Well she knew that was generally bad. Aside from certain circumstances. Oh she'd had to learn, as most properties in village life were more or less shared. Nobody much minded, provided you said you were taking the speeder bike for a while. But somehow stealing a ship seemed a major step. One she didn't feel very comfortable with.
"If we steal though, does that mean they look for stolen?"

"Depends who we steal it from." Bekk fired back, sounding more chipper than he was on the inside. Stealing a ship was definitely the most logical option they had at their disposal, yet deep down the thought made him uneasy. It certainly wasn't a victimless crime, given that a ship was the lifes blood of many people's lives. The zabrak didn't particularly want to ruin anyone else's life besides his own, so this choice was becoming less an less viable the more he pondered it.
"I wouldn't be worried about someone coming looking for us. The Empire wouldn't volunteer to help a citizen out with the matter, but perhaps the owner could send a bounty hunter after us." Bekk rambled off while continuing to rock back and forth. A moment later he stood up, crossed his arms and turned to face Raasha with a small grin.
"Although, the more I think about it, I don't think stealing a ship would be a good idea. Sounds like a real horrible thing to do to someone honestly. Unless we find someone who's really terrible, then I wouldn't have a problem with that." The zabrak continued in a low tone, shifting lightly on his feet. His eyes suddenly widened the second he noticed he'd been thoughtlessly dangling at nearly face level with his friend.
"...um..sorry." Bekk mutter quickly before spinning on his heel to face his clothes instead, exposing his ass this time around. Besides a few spots here and there, he was pretty much dry by now and started trudging towards his apparel. "Think maybe we should head back?" He asked meekly over his shoulder, still quite red over that eye full Raasha received.

Raasha kept her mouth closed during what Bekk was initially saying, and even looked away to the horizon again. As he continued talking though, she quickly found herself relieved. It was good to have her patience vindicated suitably, particularly because the Zabrak settled on the best reasons to not steal. Moral ones. Maybe he was right they wouldn't be followed, but she knew he was definitely right that most people wouldn't deserve that kind of thing. Something that could go up to the stars, that was valuable, losing it could ruin lives. Of course there was the sudden distraction as she turned back to look at him and noticed that he was... Right there.
Very near her face in fact.
Her previous questions about modesty and alien anatomy were now all resolved, as she had a very, very clear image of exactly what a Zabrak had below the beltline. Indeed there was nothing left to the imagination. Raasha immediately covered her mouth to suppress her giggling.
She stopped instantly though when he turned around. There was a spider perched on his rather appealing backside. Fortunately Raasha had lived on Shili her whole life and as such she'd learned how to recognize every dangerous animal, no matter how small. It was a simple reed spider, hardly dangerous to anything bigger than a thimiar, but on the other hand if it bit him he'd be opting to stand quite a lot for a few days. With rapid reflexes, Raasha sprang into action. Her hand darted out, and swatted away the offending arachnid, in the process making contact with Bekk's backside, the hand reverberating against the skin with a fleshy smack.
Raasha pointed at the spider rapidly scuttling away.
"Was on you. Didn't have stick," She offered as explanation, with a bit of a shrug.

As the question hung in the air Bekk's face was literally burning with embarrassment, lips pursed just to avoid being gnawed by chattering teeth. He'd never been so embarrassed in his entire life, and the silent that ensued from Raasha just added to the mountains of apologies he felt he owed her. This had to be so traumatizing!
Bekk had opened his mouth to start at the figurative summit when the slap to his ass came upon him like a thief in the night. 'Yelp' isn't quite the right word for the word that escaped his lips, squeak would've been more accurate, like a thimiar in a togruta's jaws. The zabrak recoiled forward and went rigid, as if thrusting hard into the air. It was rather fitting, yet a bit surprising, that Bekk's tackle went from relaxed to nearly full mast in record time.
In fact, he almost felt a little light headed from the sudden rush from one head to the other.
"It's... OK..." He muttered to Raasha, feeling both aroused and confused by this certain turn of events. He'd never been slapped on his ass like this before, or ever tried rough stuff either time he'd been laid, so this apparently hidden masochist streak was a bit disturbing. Was it really the degree of pain, or the fact it was Raasha doing it that was maintaining this stiffy?
"Yes,..let's get back to the village." He added calmly, quickly striding over to his clothes, trying damn sure that Raasha didn't see just how excited he'd gotten. "For a hunter, you have very soft hands." Bekk stated as he struggled with his underwear, sighing at the tent the stubborn sausage made along its length.

Raasha wasn't prepared for what happened. Bekk shot forward, thrusting away and then proceeded to swagger his way over to his clothing trying to hide a very sudden erection. Raasha hadn't expected it. Oh she'd expected a bit of blushing, maybe a protestation. Not this. Of course she was used to being quiet, to being restrained. She didn't really ever feel prone to very strong emotions, but this was so utterly unexpected and so outside her frame of normal reference that she felt it erupting like a volcano.
Laughter.
Not giggling. Not a chuckle. But actual, real, solid guffawing. She bent over double and laughed until she cried, slapping the red dirt with mirth that only redoubled when he described how soft her hands were.
It was the most she'd laughed in a year at the least, probably more. It was so farcical, so outside of her normal references. But deep down amidst all that she grinned broadly because she had a friend now. This was what friends were like. This was what they were FOR. Slowly she sat up, and she got her laughter under control.
"You're very funny man Bekk," She said with admiration.

In his head Bekk didn't think he could be more embarrassed after having a surprise boner from being slapped on the rear, but the torrent of laughter from the woman who'd assaulted his ass proved that wrong. Embarrassment went to despair and nearly suicidal within moments. However, this feeling of utter shame reached a sort of odd zenith, and the zabrak slowly began to feel better for no adequate reason. It was as if he'd gone fully mad.
Bekk joined Raasha in busting a gut over the absurd event, not even noticing as his sausage finally slumbered and the tent shrank to just a decent bulge. For once he had no idea what made him so happy about how this out, and equally for once he didn't much care about the details. It was enough for him to literally roll on the ground and laugh at the top of his lungs.
The zabrak's short bout of insanity began to wind down at roughly the same rate as Raasha's, and he was barely chuckling under his breath when she extended a compliment to him. Bekk was a bit taken back by how such a simple comment could have such an immediate impact on his emotions. If he weren't laying on his back at the moment, he would've given his friend the biggest hug. Nearly naked or not!
"And you are a very, very...fine woman, Raasha." He replied softly, smiling while leaning back to view her upside down. The more the zabrak to know her the more gem didn't seem to do justice to how precious she really was. It was funny in hindsight that her grandmother seemed to know he'd find her irresistible just a short while ago, even if his feelings on the matter were still a raging storm of confusion and duty.
Without adding anything further, Bekk climbed up from the ground with a smile and started dusting himself off. Back to the plan, clothes then possibly a night of swimming in alcohol! A jaunty whistle accompanied the donning of his rumpled jumpsuit, picking up the pace as he held up his T-shirt to examine the logo.

The laughter echoed throughout the pool, fading away into the trees finally. Raasha straightened herself up with happy tears in her eyes. When he returned her compliment from the ground, Raasha didn't blush this time. She smiled. He was good to have around. She liked him. Any residual ambivalence she had about his lightsaber incident back in Cover City trickled away in that moment, and the slate wasn't just clean. It was sparkling. He dusted himself off and started dressing properly, and Raasha did the same as well. The tunic and the vest both rejoined her, and the knife, or rather one of the numerous ones she carried.
Raasha took one last look out at the horizon, smiling vaguely, and turned back to the village.
It was several leisurely hours later that the sun finally crept down, and that was when the true sights came to bear. Shili had six moons. All of them were in alignment. From the largest, which was currently blood red, to the small white pearls, to the purple stone, they all hung there purposefully overhead as the stars twinkled brightly above in the velvet sky. What was more, the lights of torches and numerous small fires were all around the village. Bright geometric blankets were spread all over the ground, and in the center was a large pit. They were cooking in it, amidst numerous coals.
Everywhere was the quiet sound of laughter, voices talking softly, and the music of stringed instruments, drums, and flutes. Piled high near Bekk was a tray full of assorted greens. By him sat Raasha, cross-legged on the blanket, with her own plate of meat. Midway between them was yet another filled with delicious fruits and berries. And then, there was the alcohol. Jars and bottles of it. Wines, ice wines, beers, cordials. It flowed very freely, and Raasha grinned over to Bekk between courses. She was immensely curious to see how he enjoyed it.
She wasn't the only one. Grandmother was looking, despite being blind, and mother was watching with a certain degree of suspicion. Probably because she'd hunted one of the main courses. And there was Raasha's sister Alasri, who if anything managed to be more attractive. And there were her three brothers and her father, who were possibly the most intimidating part to the Zabrak. While Alasri had the kind of smolder that could replace kindling, Dar was a hulking man, shirtless most of the time, with a seemingly endless array of muscles and scars. And also a jaw that could carve granite. Her brothers were almost miniature versions of him. There was definitely a standard of masculinity in the family that was set very high.
Raasha didn't seem to notice any looks. Instead she was happily sampling the wine and the food, and reminiscing with old friends.

By all accounts, Bekk should've been the happiest bastard on the planet that night. This feast seemed like the prize at the end of a very long journey, he'd found out about potential never thought possible, and he officially had a best friend now. It started off rough, but this had been the best almost a week he'd ever experienced. The zabrak wished every week could be half this wonderful.
Still, he couldn't feel more uncomfortable at this feast, not even in his honor. The music and the general cheer did nothing to alleviate the feeling of having a least a dozen eyes on him that moment. Only four belonged to people he knew actually liked him, the others were divided between Raasha's mother, father and three brothers. The togurta's sister's attitude was up in the air, but he felt she'd lean toward liking him too. Ironically, that would just make tension worse with the parents.
The zabrak kept getting the vibe papa biceps and the ripped brothers would've eaten him alive with a side of thimiar if they had the chance, yet his face betrayed nothing of his internal strife. Bekk wore a mask of abject joy and gleefully stuffed himself with all the fresh fruit and produce he'd dream of during the last few days, washing it down with long swigs of sweet wine.
All of Raasha's moments of checking on him were met with words of praise for the meal and their hospitality, except when a full mouth dictated just a smile and a nod.

Raasha was happy, and what was more relieved, whenever she looked and saw Bekk was doing well. Togruti festivals hadn't been what she'd figured for the Zabrak's ease of mind. Slowly she started to enjoy herself more as a result, and check on him less often. Soon she had garlands of flowers around her neck, and had migrated away from her place, standing near a fire and laughing with her sister and another young woman. There was a steady flow of alcohol the whole time, and a great festive feeling to it all. As a matter of fact, she wound up dancing around happily.
Her mother quietly moved over and sat next to Bekk, in a stance that was half-crouching. She looked as though she was simply resting for a moment, though something about her was distinctly not restful. She looked as unyielding as a mountain. Her unflinching gaze was turned on him, two purple irises that looked more like moons than eyes. They were intensely focused, and not easy to look at. Particularly not when it was clear she was stalking prey.
"My daughter tells me you found a lightsaber. My mother tells me you may learn to use it. What do you tell me?"
Her tone managed to betray nothing. No negative feelings, no positive feelings. Simply a question with the expectation there was to be an answer, and with the message it had to be pretty good.

Bekk practically felt the danger and tension in the air mount as Raasha left his side to go dance. She'd been the only buffer between him and the not so pleasant members of her family, and now it was only a matter of time before one of them made their move. He was a herbivore in a village of predators, a thimiar on the clutches of literal togruta. Still, the guise of happy party goer had to continue, so Bekk's upbeat demeanor didn't wane a bit.
Of all the people looking to tear him apart at the table, the zabrak had least expected Raasha's mom to be first in line. The upside to this was that the chances he'd be forced into a physical challenge, as he'd imagined her brothers and father would've done, was between slim and none with the woman, hopefully. The downside was she somehow seemed magnitudes more difficult to deal with than the men in the family.
The zabrak did his best to maintain eye contact with those cold, but utterly remarkable eyes of hers, yet his smile slowly started to lower under their judging stare. Bekk let her question linger in the air for a moment as he gathered his courage, then exhaled ready to drop bombs.
"I tell you I will learn to use this lightsaber. I will learn to be a Jedi. I will live up to the legacy of those that came before me. But before I do any of that, I will dance with your daughter tonight. I will finish this drink first though." He stated with the same edge and inflection, not breaking their impromptu glaring contest.
While Bekk tilted back his glass to handle the first part of his objectives, he pondered if all of that sounded as cool as it did in his head.

Adri looked looked at Bekk carefully, and by the end of his sentence she had shifted into a look that was very clearly and distinctly amusement. The lines around her eyes had softened, and her lips crept very slightly into the trace of a smile. There was no way around it, she may have been a stern and severe woman, but she was one who was quite amused at the moment. Her hands rested neatly in her lap when she finally replied.
"That sounded better in your head, didn't it?" She said evenly. "Be careful making promises though, I've dealt with enough aliens to know they don't always mean them. My daughter hasn't. She's very trusting. I'm not implying you'd do anything to harm that," Adri said, waving any negative implication aside with a graceful motion of the hand, "She clearly saw enough in you to bring you here. And I won't even object to you dancing. But I will expect you to be careful with Raasha. She is my youngest daughter, and she knows the least about the outside world."
The Togruta woman shifted her weight a little in her half-sit and decided to conclude her comments.
"I think perhaps when you leave Shili behind, she may be as useless as you feel now."

Bekk nearly snorted his wine after that strategic stealing of his thunder, and instantly began to like Raasha's mom. She might have been somewhat xenophobic and particularly judgemental, but her comedic timing couldn't be better. The zabrak only hoped her husband and sons were even a portion as witty when they finally decided to take him on. Sadly, the conversation quickly returned to a serious tone.
Despite feeling a little like he'd had this exact conversation earlier, Bekk listened intently to his friend's mother's words. The grandmother had approached thing from the angle as if they were going to fall in love or something, while this new plea was driving home that Raasha was more vulnerable than she appeared, making it more poignant to him.
"I'll protect her with my life, ma'am." Bekk stated somberly, radiating a resolute aura. "Raasha means a lot me....she's my best friend. I'll never betray her trust. Honestly, off world we may both be a little lost at first, but together I don't think we'll run into a problem we can't fix or retreat from." He added, chuckling a bit at how true he felt that last point was going to be in the future.
"If you don't trust my word, at least trust that a Jedi will do what he can. Raasha will make it home safe, that I swear." The zabrak mentioned in a lower tone with pleading eyes at the togruta. With that said Bekk rose from his seat and did a few stretches to limber up for what came next.
"Think I'm gonna have that dance now~." He chimed with a wide smile as he started for the earthen dance floor, only stopping for a moment at a collection of drinks. Bekk didn't know what it was he quickly knocked back, but it was alcohol, and that's what was important. Couldn't blame a guy with alcohol in him for any dumb mistakes he made while dancing, right?

Adri nodded. She hadn't said anything, but never-the-less she accepted what Bekk had said, that much was clear. She also gave him a light push on the back over towards Raasha, which was another sign that couldn't have been too terrible. She slowly walked over to her husband, who watched the receding Zabrak as he headed to the dancefloor. He lightly placed an arm like a small tree around her shoulders.
"What do you think of him Adri?" He asked softly, planting a kiss on one of her montrals.
She smiled to him.
"I think he's a lot stronger than he looks. For once I'm not worrying about her." She reached out to his hand and gave it a familiar squeeze.
Over on the dance floor Raasha paused, and turned to watch Bekk walk over. She cocked her head, and lightly adjusted her flowers. She didn't know Bekk had ever danced. She didn't know he could dance. What was more, he probably didn't know any of the folk- But then again that had gone out the window an hour ago as increasing levels of alcohol consumption rendered it all moot. Raasha curtsied in overdramatic fashion, and smiled coquettishly.
"I was not knowing you danced," She said tentatively, taking his hand and moving out onto the floor again. "How are you liking this?"

Bekk didn't know thing one about dancing, he couldn't even recall if he'd ever even been somewhere that had people dancing, except for the occasional drunk on a table. Or that one bachelor party he got invited too. Either way, the zabrak was extremely at a disadvantage in a situation he wanted very hard not to screw something up, yet he had a very zen focus when Raasha took his hand.
"I have never danced!" He stated proudly, chuckling to himself over how ballsy but pathetic sounding that fact had came out. Just another thing to add to the fault of the alcohol if this ever came up again.
"I'm having a really great time though, your village is a wonderful place and the hospitality is equally wonderful. Also, I think your mom is starting to dislike me less, so that's good." Bekk continued rapidly, almost without stopping to catch his breath, while scanning the dance floor for what everyone else was basically doing.
The zabrak released his grip on Raasha after observing what he figured would be enough to at least not look too goofy in front of everyone, and slowly started to emulate the nearest male, missing a few cues but building up speed. This overwhelming sense of feeling stupid started to build in the back of Bekk's head; although, he was still enjoying himself.
He was fine possibly embarrassing himself, just as long as Raasha didn't look bad with her new alien friend and all.

"You are surprising person Bekk," Raasha replied to the man's statement about not dancing. If he didn't dance, yet here he was, that was something of a lovely finishing touch to his development thus far, to coming here. Unless he were to suddenly try to eat meat, then he'd be even more surprising. Still, she was impressed by his initiative, his willingness to try, and his adaptability. It was very hard to imagine he'd been the same one glumly nibbling those emergency food bars not so long ago. It was hard to understand really.
Maybe it was the alcohol or all the distractions about, but Raasha didn't even question it when he said that he was enjoying everything. She might have put more thought into it if she'd been fully alert and at her best, given the Zabrak's track record of special needs, and how far removed all this was from his daily life. She might have even quietly asked him if he was truly okay, but instead none of that slipped into her mind.
She gave him a sympathetic look when he mentioned mother, and she decided to talk while dancing, despite the dangers of stepping on feet.
"Mother doesn't mean to bad," Raasha said, still clinging to Basic even as Basic decided to not cling so tightly to her. "She's... Just want best. For me. For village. I don't think she dislike you, just, insure."
The Togruta woman hiccuped a little, and stepped on Bekk's foot.
"Sorry," She apologized.
