Bax could smell the delicious fried flesh of his meal as it drew near. He nibbled his lip slightly as the droid slid the plate over in front of him, and it was only for politeness sake he didn't start wolfing it down right then. That and the steam bellowing from the sandwich. While things things cooled down to an ingestable level, he found it quite amusing how closely the end product resembled the end product. It was definitely a nice change of pace.
"Alright, just checking. If push comes to shove, I'm sure you'll manage just fine. I was just thinking ahead. With our luck, push comes to shove quite a bit." The junker replied in a playful tone, honestly being dead serious about that last bit though.
Bax inspected the highball glass his sunrise had been delivered in, and was overall pleased with what he saw. The fruit purée that had been added to the top over the moonshine was an electric blue, instead of the traditional orange, but that wasn't anything to raise a fuse over. The quality of the grain alcohol though....
The junker visibly gagged on the first sip, fighting his hardest to deal with the train wreck that hit the back of his throat. He could only discribe the experience as drinking a cup of rusty metal shavings, engine lubricant, and power cell acid.
Bax quickly regained his composure and slid the glass towards the table edge, coming very closely to pushing it over the edge on purpose. "That....was a terrible experience. Good homebrew liquor is unfortunately not one of this place's strong points."

Push DID come to shove far too frequently with them. It was some sort of bizarre knack they had, or maybe some kind of elaborate ancient curse unknowingly activated by their ancestors. Or maybe it was the side product of running facefirst into the the illegal without a lick of decent planning. Any which way it was a good idea to crosstrain.
Kara eyed the drink Bax ordered. It was layered, and looked a little odd. She looked over at the sandwich as well, fried nuna if she was correct. It seemed to be either a staple of his, or maybe even a favorite. She'd have to learn to prepare it sooner or later. It'd be a nice little touch and-
Bax practically sputtered on the drink, and Kara eyeballed it again wondering what brand of starship fuel was in it. He provided the answer well in advance of her question, it was homebrewed anything. Kara was not the sort to go for home-brew she wasn't involved in, simply because it was a complete game of roulette. It could be made from anything in a dozen ways, with a wide variety of flavors. Beyond that... Well, she just didn't drink that much. For a complete sinner she was surprisingly straight-edge in that respect. A few sips here and there. A clear drink, subtly switched for plain soda. It went quite a ways. Of course, she preferred gin when she did drink, for the aromatics.
"It's because you never know what you get, they probably use by-products here. People use what they can spare for the homebrewing."
Kara sipped her icy caf and then looked about again.
"How do you know who this Izzy is? Are you waiting on some signal? Do you have a description?"
