Name: Hope Gaeriel Arnjak
Alias: Gaerial Rouke
Species: Hybrid (Zeltron/Echani)
Faction: The Great Kryats Swoop Gang
Rank: Boss, Head Mechanic
Age: 21
Height: 1.6 m
Weight: 59 kg
Appearance:
By Human and Near-Human standards, Hope is an extremely gorgeous, voluptuous and fully figured young woman. With a pair of breasts that could suffocate a Wookiee (not that Hope has ever tried) and hips that certainly don't lie about the fact that they're all about that base, Hope turns heads wherever she goes. Heads which usually proceed to drool. The young woman is by no means overweight, but nor does she try hard to stay fit and stay skinny. Instead, Hope is in somewhat 'thick’.
Hope's dual Echani/Zeltron ancestry gives her nothing unique for skin. Not even close to unique. With the intense white skin of the Echani, and the vibrant pink skin of the Zeltron, the two colors even out in order to give Hope a skin tone very close to that of a Human white, leaning more towards the pale side. The only thing that stands out about Hope’s skin is her freckles. They're literally everywhere on the young woman. The large brown clusters of dots on her face make you question her real skin color. This dusting of dots travels down her neck and both arms, across her hands and legs. They even appear on her breasts and backside. The freckles are thought to be a side effect of her heritage, but that's just an educated guess at best.
For hair, Hope's genes favor her Zeltron side. Not curly enough to be considered true curls, but too wavy to ever be straight, the soft, silky smooth locks extend down just past the young woman's breast. The hair looks like fire; a bright red that's almost too unbelievable, making people question whether or not its natural. Hope hates the red. Unless she's dressing to impress, the hair is more often than not died a pure blonde color, outshining her dull, silver Echani eyes. Hope often ties her hair back into a big, elaborate bun, to keep it from wiping around on the swoop bike.
Hope's clothes are rather simple. Most days, she can be found in a brown vest with a zipper up the front, a grey tank top underneath, and pants to match the vest. Googles, which rest of head and a large tan scarf wrapped around her neck help protect from the dust storms of Saleucami and wind while racing. Backless and fingerless gloves help give the young woman a better grip on the controls of her swoop, and a better grip on her blaster pistol. Dark colored shin high boots are hidden beneath her pant legs. Finally, a pair of belts finishes off Hope's outfit, with one across her hips, and the other around her waist. The one across her hips holds her blaster on her left hip, while Hope's lightsaber is held by the belt on her waist, along with an assortment of tools should her precious swoop ever break down.
Personality:
Hope is a very self-centered young woman. When something doesn't directly concern her, she doesn't care. And when something does directly concern her, you'd best get out of her way. Just because she can use the Force doesn't mean it's her job to fix the Galaxy. Instead, she's just trying to make the best for herself, while she can. She doesn't think about the future or the big picture, but lives in the moment instead.
And that need to live in the moment explains a lot about Hope's lifestyle. She loves swoops and the adrenaline rush she gets when racing. The tab in her name at the local cantina is incredibly large. Anytime there's a party, it's usually at her house. And Hope has been known to bring home more than a few strangers for the night. Truly, it's a wonder that Hope's life isn't spiraling out of control. Or that she's dead yet, as she's always the first to hop into a fight, as well.
But fighting isn't as much of a “living in the moment” thing, as it is a release. Hope, for her age, is a very bitter and angry young woman. This anger rears it's ugly head every chance it gets, which is often. In Hope's speech, in her attitude, even in her use of the Force. It springs up quickly, and oh so easily, and is slow to fade. When Hope gets angry, watch out, as the time for words is gone and her fists do all the talking.
And when Hope isn't angry, she's apathetic. The woman doesn't care for much outside of herself, and it shows. She doesn't care about the Empire, the Jedi, or really about anything or anyone. It's not her problem, and Hope will still do what she wants. This lack of care is one reason, among others, that she's very open about wearing her lightsaber (though to be fair, she's never left Saleucami before).
One of the few things that Hope does care about, however, is her relationship with Yana Ishale Sularen. Yana came to Saleucami when Hope was very young, and despite the difference in age between them, they were fast, long friends. Yana was always something of an overbearing, protective older sister to Hope, who always bucked back against Yana. Though she'd in never admit it, Hope always did appreciate Yana looking out for her despite fighting it. Yana is the only person outside of family that Hope has ever loved or been loyal towards, and Yana is the only one who knows about Hope's Jedi heritage and her real name.
Which is another thing; Hope hates her name, a sign of her mother's idealism. Everyone besides Yana gets Gaeriel as her name, something she's very adamant on.
History:
Born in the year 25 BBY, Hope’s parents were an odd couple. Her mother, named Briana, was an Echani and Hope's father, Zekk, was a Zeltron. Briana had left the Jedi Order to throw in with Count Dooku and the Separatist, believing in their cause. And when she had done so, she fell in love with Zekk. But the Zeltron wasn't ready for anything long term, and left the soonest Briana revealed her pregnancy.
But the Separatist were more than happy to have a Jedi that saw things their way. Learning that Briana was out on her own, they offered to take care of all her living expenses on one condition; that she fights the Republic when the time is right. Thinking only of Hope, Briana agreed to their terms.
So for three years, mother and daughter lived comfortably on Serenno. Hope grew up normally, showing early signs of Force sensitivity. But Briana never got a chance to train her daughter. For when the Clone Wars broke out, Briana sent Hope to live with her sister, Ria, on Saleucami. Ria had also left the Jedi Order, believing that the Jedi shouldn't fight in the War on either side.
Briana died in the first year of the Clone Wars, during the Invasion of Kamino. Hope never remembered much about her life before living on Saleucami. She grew up believing that she'd always lived there, that Aunt Ria was really her mother (until she was old enough to know better), and that her real mother abandoned her which is where a lot of Hope's bitterness comes from. That, and the fact that she feels her mother tried to force the Jedi ways on her.
Finn Ishale Sularen arrived on Saleucami not long after Hope did. And along with Finn came his daughter, Yana. At once the two hit it off, and were soon inseparable, despite their age difference. They were always causing trouble around the neighborhood, up to something and doing no good. Yana was the only friend Hope had, and Hope defended her fiercely.
The Clone Wars ended, and the Galaxy changed. But not Saleucami. Still, Aunt Ria worried. Ria loved Hope as her own, and protected and cared for her as her own. Ria changed their last name to Rouke and used Hope's middle name, Gaeriel, as her first name, along with the nickname Ariel. Ria hoped that by doing this, they'd avoid an Imperials looking for Jedi. Ria also started training Hope to use the Force and a lightsaber, so she could defend herself when needed.
Other than the Jedi training? Hope grew up as normally as any kid could on a backwater planet. Ria taught Hope all her schooling, as well. And Hope helped out in Ria’s swoop garage. Ria was the first person to instill the love of racing and swoop bikes into Hope, which wasn't hard. On Hope's fourteenth birthday, Ria surprised Hope with two big things; her own custom racing swoop from an old BARC speeder, and Briana’s own lightsaber, which Ria had jumped through hoops to recover.
In the teen years, Ria had to keep a closer eye on Hope. But it didn't help. The girl was naturally rebellious, and she took a turn for the worst. Underage drinking. Trying illegal spice. Staying out way late and street racing. At the age of sixteen, Hope had sex for the first time. It was with the big jock that thought that his swoop could outrun Hope's. Hope had proved him wrong and to celebrate, they went back to his place.
After that, Hope's teenage hormones got worse. She slept with a girl, too, just to try it out. That, Hope liked better. But guys weren't bad either. Almost every night, Hope was sneaking out for a hookup, or a party or a race. And Ria let it happen, for the most part. Because Hope's punishment was having to get up early to train. Needless to say, the teen got little sleep during those years.
When Hope turned seventeen, Ria revealed that she had been sick for a long time now, only keeping herself alive through the Force. But the sickness was still winning. She had a year, at best. This calmed down the teenage Hope quite a bit, as she stayed home to care for her frail Aunt that she loved so much. Ria passed just before Hope's eighteenth birthday.
And after Ria passed, Hope was on her own. Her partying nature slowly came back, tempered, however with the responsibility of running the swoop garage so she could make the money she needed. Having never read Ria’s Will, which sits on a shelf in the house to this day, Hope sold her Aunts swoops off, one going to Yana, to cover Hope's bar tab. Ria's passing only made Hope all the more bitter.
Not long after inheriting the swoop garage, Hope started a swoop bike gang. She thought it'd be fun. But they didn't really do anything besides race. It was Yana’s Dad, Finn, who gave Hopes gang their first real work. And as such, Hope gave him a cut of the profits. This became the norm. This, and keeping other gangs off of their turf.
Miscellaneous Crap:
Third times the charm, eh? The first app I feel like I don't have to apologize to the staff for their misfortune in reading it.
Hope is LOOSELY based off of this chick, in case anyone is wondering what she could look like still. (Warning; Image could be considered NSFW {you don't see anything} so be mindful of where/when you view it)
