Saleucami is one of those cool planets that has a downside, namely that everybody and his damn brother co-opts it and writes something different. So no more fussing, here's the site's info to know.
Saleucami is a barren world. It's volcanic, but the only real life is found in calderas where large impacts have opened, releasing the geothermal vents, providing heat, water, and the conditions for foliage. It is these calderas which are settled, the remaining areas of the planet parched, grey, and dead rocky wastes, which can be flooded by sudden storms. As a result the Calderas are basically the only part of the planet to matter. Inside most the terrain is mixed grass and rock, with trees and such occurring more or less frequently. Buildings are made from volcanic mud shaped into bricks and built into sturdy structures.
Geothermal power is ubiquitous, widely available to the extent no one has any worries about heating their homes, and even the slightest increase in the tiny price of electricity would easily provoke riots if not absolutely necessary.
Saleucami has no formal government now, a far cry from the planet's not-so-ancient history as a valued asset of the Techno Union, producing certain manufactured goods and rich botanicals. The botanical industry has survived, droid production has not.
The largest caldera on the planet, home to an Imperial Consulate and the remains of the Techno Union's operation is the incredibly uncreatively-named 'Caldera'. Far more important is the second city, Dar Ulwan. This city is only very slightly smaller, and possesses a great central location near the other calderas of importance, as such a series of trade routes have emerged. Dar Ulwan is also home to a spaceport, a large market district, a 'riches' district home to wealthy families, a large slum, and thriving criminal underground.
Other calderas of importance nearby are the Dissariat Mine, the Voten-Pell Plantation, the town of Layara, and the Varton Estate. Most of these more or less are the personal property of select wealthy families. The system is almost aristocratic in a way, though couched in more democratic terms. For instance Tressenik Dalt, the leader of Dar Ulwan, goes by 'Mayor' though 'Sultan' would be equally accurate.
