Understandably you may have some questions about canon. How does it work? Between Legends, official Canon, and the plethora of subdivisions in the EU there's a lot of grey area.
As a result we have a cool way of looking at it.
You see the Original Trilogy? Don't frell with it. It's good. That's the primary canon concern.
But what about the other stuff? Generally there are a couple of rules. If it makes sense, good. If it doesn't, trash it. If it only appears in 'Ewoks' or one Legacy era comic, don't pay much attention to it. If it's Rebels, that's pretty much our time period so consider paying attention to it unless it is dumb. If it's TOR... Just ignore it.
Site canon. Your factions. Your organizations. Stuff you come up with. Just a few general rules.
Don't try to upstage the full canon. Don't make your stuff more epic or more impressive than the real stuff. Try to stay out of the way of it.
Think of our RP as 'supplementing' the canon information, or contravening dumb canon information.
