"Alema"

Alema is Reess' trusty blaster rifle, and best friend in a lot of ways. The weapon's core was scavenged from an inoperable E-5 blaster rifle, the barrel assembly and wire stock were acquired the same way, but the wooden furniture was carved and treated by Reess himself. The bandages around the foregrip are an aesthetic choice as much as they are a practical one, lending an even greater handhold for the shooter. As for the ammo and power supply, the wooden pistol grip actually slides over the powercell integrated into the frame itself, while the blaster gas is provided by a side mounted magazine well. The blaster is able to feed old E-5 gas mags just fine of course, but Reess normally uses a small drum style one instead. Using an adapter the Twi'lek prefers to simply bleed whatever magazines are available around him into this one, due to its high capacity and familiarity to him.

At full capacity Alema should be able to put out a thousand blaster bolts; however, the inefficient and partially corroded gas cycling system only allows around seven hundred, give or take. This fault has also lead the the junk rifle having a rather unique 'CHOOM!'report and a noticeable recoil, from the ignition of gas in the barrel that didn't convert to plasma, when fired. Lastly, the rifle only has rudimentary iron sights and a nonadjustable leather sling tailored for Reess' comfort preference alone.
