"What is?" The togruta asked in an accented voice.
"What is what, Rin?" Lyra responded, not looking up from her ration pack, eating her beans and rice with the included spoon.
"Dis, leetle white tings..." Riaasta said, Lyra not looking up, Rin frowning, sitting beside her on a rock near the beach, under the shade of a palm tree.
"-Lyra, look, DIs." Rin insisted, holding out a single grain of rice on her finger, Lyra finally looking over, down at the grain of rice, then up to Rinaasta.
"Rin, it's a rice, you can eat it-" Lyra paused, watching as Rin, now disinterested in the beans and rice, had started taking her cracker out of it's packaging, after a few seconds, she pulled it out, and tried to bite it, the Togruta spitting out the mouthful of cracker and looking over at Lyra.
"-It's called a crac-" Lyra's eyes went wide.
In the time it'd taken for her to say her piece, Rin had picked up a rock, and smashed the cracker into a bunch of small pieces, and took one of them and ate it, the Togruta obviously trying to figure out weather or not she liked it.
"-Rin what the crap. It's a cracker, you eat it. Or soften it up with some water and mix it in with the Bean Salad..." She burbled, as Rin moved on, cracker shrapnel still covering the rock beside the scantily clad Togruta, as she pulled out her fruit pastry, the Togruta pulling it open and sniffing it, scrunching up her nose and looking over at Lyra.
"Lyra...they is try do kill me...I cannod eat dis. Here. You take." Rin said, pushing the pastry into Lyra's hand, the purple woman confused.
"Rin, c'mon, how long's it been since you've eaten?" Lyra asked, concern in her voice.
"Two days has been. Noding inda bay, or da boosh...Dey-" Rin gestured towards the Imperial base.
"-Be flyin' an' shootin', scare all the food." Rin said, flopping back onto the grass on top of the dirt the rocks were retaining with a soft "oof".
"Rin, C'mon, you can eat this stuff, I've asked the doc-" Lyra said, trying to convince her carnivorous friend to eat.
"-Idonwanna." Rin said without sitting up, Lyra hearing her stomach growl.
"Rin, it's just bea-" Lyra started, Rin cutting her off, sitting up on her elbows.
"I know what is bean, I know what is a rice, doccor wamme to live off food food eats." Rin said, flopping back down.
Lyra smirked, took her paistry and pocketed it, as well as the rest of her unopened ration, put it in her shoulder bag, then stood up, and looked down at the Toggie, and sighed.
"Alright Rin, c'mon, I've got something you can eat back home....just...you owe me for this, you got it? I was saving them." she stated, extending an arm, which Rin took and pulled herself up with, standing just a touch shorter ( though, including her montrails, much taller ) than Lyra.
"What is?" Rin asked, obviously confused, picking up her bag.
"You'll see, c'mon, get your big ass moving." Lyra joked, giving Rin's toned, but rather large, butt a smack.
"Says the one with the mommaboobies..." Rin spat back, as the two got moving.

"RINAASTA! What did I tell you about hissing at me?" Lyra asked in a stern voice, unafraid of the agitated Togruta.
Rin looked at the wall, then down at the ground, feeling awkward, she'd been working on not letting that response to frustration come out since she'd gotten to Garqi, but sometimes...
"Isorry. You cook dat meat thing, ruin it, Lyra!" Rin said, apologetically.
"Rin, it's better, trust me, Lou's burgers are meant to be cooked, now, trust me-" Lyra paused, Rin looking at her skeptically.
"-You do trust me, right?" Lyra asked, rhetorically.
"Weelll...." Rin started, Lyra cutting her off.
"Good! I'll cook yours super rare, howabout that?" Lyra asked, Rin nodding, the wide hipped woman sitting down on a chair next to Lyra's kitchen table.
The small apartment, after a few minutes, had started to smell of spicey and delicious beef burgers, the woman using her wood fired stove to cook the patties, three of them. Two for Rin ( the woman not having eaten in two days ) and one for herself, simply wanting one. It wasn't an impressive affair, Lyra's place, consisting of two shipping containers stuck together side to side. The containers were buried under a mound of dirt covering three sides and the back, with one end, the entrance, open, with a door on the right side and a small window ( with a window box with some flowers Rin planted ) beside it. The dirt mound had various vegetables and fruits growing on it, planted by Lyra to spice up the usually bland and sometimes uncommon food. The kitchen took up the left side of the space, a small fridge, a wood fired ( or charcoal...or anything that'd burn ) stove beside that, a sink ( without running water, Lyra having a 5 gallon jug rigged up with a valve ), and a table in the middle of it all, at which Rin was sitting.
The purple woman pulled off two of the paddies early, still obviously under cooked by regular standards, but probably considered "ruined" by Togruta standards. Lyra hadn't cooked them to ruin them, not at all, but because she knew the flavours Lou wanted to come out would be better after a bit on the grill...that and, logically, to her, warm meat would probably be better to a Toggie than cold meat. At least it made sense to her. She plopped the burgers down, after having put onions, tomato, lettuce, and some mustard, on them.
Rin looked up at her and raised an eyebrow.
"C'mon Rin, you'll like 'em." Lyra suggested.
"I don eat-" Lyra interrupted the woman.
"You won't know you don't like it until you try it, Rin." Lyra said, putting her own burger on her plate and sitting down across from the Togruta.
"Hokay..."Rin said, picking one up, and taking a bite, her eyes going wide after a few chews, the flavours coming together, her heightened taste and smell senses very impressed with what she was eating.
Lyra laughed, covering her mouth with her free hand, the Togruta being adorable again.
"You like, eh?"
"Mhghbuumrugnarrr!" Rin said, scarfing down her first burger.
"Slow down there woman-" Lyra said, being interrupted by a knock at the door.
"The fuck..." Lyra murmored, holding out a hand, and looking at Rin, the woman nodding.
Lyra slunk around the kitchen and pulled a DL-188s, a shortened DL-18 without the sight, out of her freezer, and flipping it to stun, then walking to the door. She hid the gun behind her...behind...and opened the door with her left hand, a man standing before her, looking a bit confused.
"Uhh.." She started, the man stepping in.
"Arrrre...you Lyra?" He asked, gingerly.
"Maybe...who's asking?" Lyra responded, finger moving to the trigger on the DL.
"Uhm, well, I'm Wan, and Lorik sent me to get you...he told me to tell you, ahem, "It's fucked again, if you come fix it, I'll make it worth it."" Wan recited, from memory, Lyra smirking, and shaking her head.
By this point, nobody had been paying attention to Rin, who'd gotten up and had, silently, padded over behind Lyra, looking over her shoulder at Wan.
"Heddo." She said waving at Wan, Lyra jumping a bit startled by her.
"Shit, Rin, I told you to warn me-" Rin looked down, and sighted the pistol.
"Lyra, why you have gun?" She asked, entirely innocently.
The purple woman closed her eyes and sighed, Wan smirking and nodded to Rin, as she flipped the safety on and showed him the pistol, then dropped it onto the nearby table with a small clatter, looking back to Wan.
"Girl's gotta be safe, right?" She asked, rhetorically of Wan, who nodded.
==== 20 minutes later ====
The trio rolled onto the island, Wan on his own speeder bike, Lyra and Rin riding double on Lyra's bike. She parked beside Wan, and followed the man into the small camp the imperials had setup on a small island off the coast of the main city and the Imperial Base. It's true purpose seemed to be as a sort of lookout, but Lyra had always been under the impression it was more a place for Lorik and his buddies to hide from actually doing anything useful.
"Ok, I'm here, what'd you guys break now?" Lyra asked, Rin standing beside here, finishing her burger.
"What is what, Rin?" Lyra responded, not looking up from her ration pack, eating her beans and rice with the included spoon.
