In a manner of speaking, Bekk really didn't know anything about dating either. He'd been on several in brief foray into attempted romance, but getting a second date was something he'd yet to achieve. So, either his personality had been a turn off or he just didn't know how to show a girl a good time. Both options seemed very plausible, to the point he sorta wondered if Raasha would abandon him after their dinner in Corvala. Then again, she was much sweeter and more upfront than any of his previous dates.
"Well..a date isn't supposed to be complicated. The two people usually go to eat, maybe go see a Holofilm or stage play, perhaps get dessert and just see how things go between them." He explained in a matter of fact cadence, trying to recall how he'd gone about the others, even though logically he was setting himself up for failure again.
"If things go well kissing usually follows, and if things really well then things go further than that....but I think we can agree taking things slow is the best for the both of us?" Bekk rambled off next, quickly skirting away from the topic of sex for both of their sakes. Fucking on the first date was reaching a bit too high for the stars in his mind.

Raasha listened to Bekk, glued to his words carefully. She'd never really bothered to do more than pick up a few general ideas, misconceptions really. Her brow was furrowed in concentration as he talked. It wasn't complicated. Well that definitely dispelled her previous thoughts, which had involved some ritual splitting of food stuffs. There was eating, and holofilms and plays. Neither of which she'd seen. As to 'see how things go', it was a strange kind of vagueness that she didn't quite have a grasp on.
He elaborated. Kissing. Well that made this a date then, didn't it? But things going further- Oh. It clicked suddenly what he was referring to, and she remained awkwardly silent. That was... Well not something she felt was right yet. Even thinking about it was moving too fast. Clearly he was right about the prospect of taking things slow. There were layers of social intricacy at play in the act of mating. At least from her perspective as a Togruta from a tribe. If she were to... Present herself after a courtship that would be making a statement of bonding, of loyalty, and of the clear desire to be a mate. That was what Bekk meant, which was a very clear commitment.
A little abrupt fun, that was something else entirely.
"This is... Uh... I have never seen holofilm," She ended, changing directions halfway in the hopes the new discussion would be better.

Bekk had to let out a mental sigh of relief that his friend picked up on what he meant without having to go into detail. He'd giving the situation a fifty fifty split on having to do that, given he limited grasp of basic and the nuances of dancing around topics. However, the zabrak definitely gave her an A+ for knowing how to perfectly change the subject.
"Oh? There is a small cinema in Cover City. I thought you would've been at least once. The one I used to visit in Corvala is much bigger, I'm sure you'd love it. Don't know if anything good is playing at the moment though." Bekk stated, playing along but enjoying the topic of cinema regardless. Besides making finding a mentor hell, his only personal grievance with The Empire was their effect on the Holo industry. It was a major ordeal for a nonhuman to get funding for a mainstream production now.
"When we get there remind me to check the listings, we can go see one after dinner if you'd like." The zabrak added, shifting a bit and sinking deeper into the water. The cold was biting a bit too much for his taste.
"So, what are in the rest of these buildings? They can't all be hot springs, right?"

Raasha pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them, and floating in a careful balance. She'd heard about holofilms of course, rather extensively from one acquaintance who quoted one comedy verbatim at the falling of a leaf. It was images projected onto a screen area. Some fancy ones were heavily three dimensional she'd heard, but she'd also heard most were designed to be seen from one side only. Something odd, some foreign word they'd said. Mice on scent? She couldn't fuss with it, but she nodded in response to Bekk's statement he could check the listings. It sounded good to her.
Of course, he found another question.
While he expressed it, she moved hot water onto her nose to ease the cold there.
She laughed.
"Buildings are buildings, spring is spring," She said, perhaps not very eloquently. "Do not be such sillyness Bekk!"

Bekk snorted at his friend's choice of words, chuckling a little under his breath, but quickly beamed a smile her way. "But what if I want to be silly~? He fired back playfully, in a sing song tone tilting his head slightly in her direction when he was done. Truthfully, being silly was not a state the zabrak really liked to find himself in under normal circumstances, but being around Raasha was just what he needed to bring out his silly side for her sake.
"You have a point, but I was just wondering did any of the house have beds or just somewhere dry where we get to sleep in tonight?" I imagine we'd be all kinds of pruny if we slept here, and the bedrolls seem kinda superfluous with nice buildings around, you know?" Bekk clarified, looking over at his friend to see if what he said was registering with her.
Not using such big words or complicated phrases was something he still struggled with around her.
"Also...where is the bathroom?" The zabrak asked next, throwing a wavering grin her way, hoping she'd catch on to his sudden urgency.

Raasha had a lopsided smile that seemed to apply specifically to Bekk's own charming brand of silly. She did like having him around. Of course he had to realize 'beds' weren't typical though? They tended to take up space, and resources. They were more cumbersome to move. You could scarcely be bothered to haul a mattress up a mountain after all, it would be insane work for little gain. Still, somewhere dry to sleep, that she could handle for him well enough. This was very definitely going to be better than the cold night before.
He had another question.
It had always struck Raasha as incredibly odd that Basic used 'bathroom.' After all, it was not a room you bathed. It was an area for waste, and that was very different from cleaning oneself. Still, she was able to answer quickly enough.
Her bare arm rose dripping from the water, and she pointed to a small 'lean-to' a short ways from the spring, with a crescent moon cut into the top of the door. It wasn't incredibly common to use in the cold of winter, but somehow Raasha couldn't manage Bekk ever really being comfortable with the more common 'pot/bucket inside' approach. She didn't have the heart to suggest it either. Instead she turned and waded back to the edge of their own small building, diving under the surface again, and emerging inside. She laid out their pelts on the floor, and hoisted herself out onto it.
The Togruta woman stoked the fire in the stove again, added another log from the woodpile, and pulled on her tunic. More leisurely after doing that, she went to a large chest in the corner, and carefully fished out a pair of bedrolls. They might have been less palatial than Bekk hoped, but they were still soft enough, and there were feather pillows to accompany them. Raasha carefully unrolled them, and laid them out near the stove. Then she settled down cross-legged and nibbled on the last of the fresh meat. After this, it'd be all dried stores until they were clear of the mountains.

If the odds weren't extremely high that the bathroom forecast for the next ten minutes or so didn't potentially include brown showers Bekk would've just let his bladder loose in the pool, because trekking over to the outhouse seemed like it was gonna be hell. So close, but yet so far. The zabrak groaned as he kept staring at the solitary building, trying and failing to psych himself up for this. Silently he was happy to see Raasha deciding to go back inside, if only so he wouldn't have an audience if something went hilarious wrong.
On a quick count of three under his breath Bekk hoisted himself up onto the spring's edge, then was quickly on his feet. Only seconds out of the water's warm embrace and he wanted to scream at the top of his lungs. It literally felt as if his boxers were freezing solid around his junk. The zabrak nearly expected them to crunch from ice as he dashed off for the outhouse.
With each passing step it felt as if the mountain itself was trying to slow his progress, as the wind whipping over the summit mercilessly blasted his body. Accompanying every step was the logic yelling in the back of his head to just turn back for the spring, but on he went. By the time Bekk reached the outhouse door he didn't know for sure if his hypothermic hand would cooperate, thankfully he managed to get it open.
The zabrak didn't even bother to look at the toilet before sliding down his boxers and falling down on it, only to sadly find out the cover was still down. The stinging ass that resulted actually made Bekk chuckle as he sat up and lifted it to start again. It was like he just spanked himself, only this time his favorite tool was too busy curled up for warmth to get excited.
By the time he'd finished all his business and was ready to rejoin his friend the zabrak had almost forgotten what it was like outside, but the wind the filled the room when he opened the door refreshed his memory. A short but frantic sprint later and he found himself back at their cabin. Honestly, Bekk had wanted to dive back into the spring, yet his current dryness made him think twice. Without having to dry out he could just skip to the part where he wrapped himself in a thick pelt.
Bekk did that just a few moments later, when he burst into the cabin shivering head to toe, then just fell onto a bedroll by the stove. The sudden spike in his temperature like this nearly hurt under his skin, but he didn't give a damn. Putting some clothes on would've helped out even further, yet he reached out for his pelt with a shaking hand instead.
"I don't think I put the cover down in the outhouse..." Bekk stated groggily as he pulled the heavy fur up to his eyes, suddenly remembering that tiny detail.

Raasha turned to look as Bekk came back in. He was slightly frosty, wearing stiff underwear, and shaking like a shitting kath hound. He was by far the most pathetic thing she'd ever seen, which she belatedly realized was replacing him earlier as well. Before that... Hmm, it was a good question. Bekk had certainly filled one very ignored gap in her life. He collapsed onto the bedroll and pulled the pelt over him. Raasha assisted in the effort given just how truly pathetic the poor Zabrak was. She did, however, laugh happily the whole time. Doubly so when he lamented not putting the lid down.
That was... Something she really didn't care about. It was fall at the top of a mountain, the smell wasn't going to be toxic. Lid up or down.
"Shhh," She said softly. "Don't be worrying about this. Just get to sleep. Tomorrow we go down the mountain."
She leaned over to whisper in his ear with a cheeky smile.
"I promise is easier."

Bekk liked to think that it was his friend's soothing voice, and not the feeling slowly returning to his clammy flesh, that made a special tingling under his skin, but he couldn't be for sure. Either way, it went without saying that he was damn happy she was there with him. The word gem again came to mind. This just reassured his resolved to make sure their date went well in Corvala. Obviously he was rushing things, but...he already felt like life would be a little less bright if they couldn't be together like this everyday.
After feeling her warm breath on ear Bekk lowered the pelt from his lips for the kiss he assumed was coming, but instead just flashed a smile when she didn't seem to have the same thing in mind. "I'm gonna hold you to that~." He fired back dryly, maintaining his smirk but adding a wink to the mix.
With that said the zabrak decided to take her advice as sleep threatened to overtake him, closing his eyes and rooting further into the bed roll. "Sweet dreams, Raasha...." He added as his consciousness finally slipped and images of his friend and that flattering dress returned. Only this time, he was there too.
