Bax really did love to see Kara smile to show off her row of sharp teeth, but somehow it felt incredibly ominous. Almost overpoweringly so. That short expression just seemed to be the harbinger of rough times ahead for him. Besides the thing with Torvue, life had been a treat in the short time they'd been aquantited, but that didn't mean he didn't have valid reason to worry.
Not that any of that mattered to him at that moment. Bax has supposedly steeled himself against the source of the fine meal in front of him, yet actually hearing it still kind of ruined the experience.
"I see." Was all the junker replied back to Kara's admission, but didn't step eating the rat kebab in his hand in the slightest. "I honestly wasn't expectating rodent, but considering the amount I've seen run around here, it's not too surprising."
"What is in the glaze though? You did any amazing on it with the dregs of supplies I have on board." Bax stated, between mouthfuls of rat kebab. "Think once we make it to Nal Hutta you help me restock this place? You know, spices and all that good stuff."

Sikaara's green eyes flitted about the disaster-area that was Bax's living area. There were disaster-hit worlds full of obliterated towns that still managed to be neater. What Bax needed was a professional organizer and housekeeper. And even then they needed bonus pay to ensure they wouldn't run swiftly away at the first possible opportunity.
"I can give you a list," the Togruta replied in neutral tone. She didn't want to volunteer too much involvement. She wasn't a chef. In fact, the majority of the time she'd eat whatever was fresh, as it was. Human stomachs were far too fragile, undercooked meat was dangerous. Frankly, she wasn't even sure of which foods were poisonous to them. The list was probably not too long, fortunately.
"Frankly, getting your kitchen straightened out would be a full-time job."

Once the Togruta gave her short response Bax could only knowingly snicker with a mouthful of roasted rat. He was a rather dry humored person at the best of times, but Kara seemed just plain dry whenever the situation did explicitly call for emotion. That being said, his partner's default temperment was oddly entertaining to him. The junker took Kara's criticism fully in stride as a result.
"*Heh* If I could find a good maid I'd hire them. Guess it'd just be easier to add getting a maid droid to the shopping list. Need to get an astromech already." Bax rambled off, while working the last piece of meat from his current skewer. His stomach still felt a bit empty, after eating MRE's and vigorous sex after that, but he wasn't dick enough to to reach for Kara's food too.
"So.....we still got awhile until Nal Hutta. Wanna show me how to catch my own rats or go back to bed, unless you want to play a game or something?" The junker asked, sifting through his memory for when he saw the dejarik table last.

The Togruta stared at Bax for a moment, trying to envision how precisely the human would be able to hunt. He'd need some major boosts. Or else he'd need to focus on traps. The idea of sleeping, again, was less appealing than the other options. The offer of a game was not particularly something she had enthusiasm for either. No, it would have to be trying to instruct a human to catch his own rats.
"I'll teach you. But you won't be able to do it my way. You'll need to use traps. Have you ever made a snare before? It's probably your best option..."
The rusty-skinned woman continued on, talking about materials as she rooted through the filth to help him find what he needed, tracking the common paths the rats were using, and so on. It would do the human a great deal of good to pay attention to things like a hunter. At least for a short while.
